Seminal speech delivered by Prime Minister Paul Keating in December 1992.
This speech acknowledged the past and present responsibilities of the "mainstream" European Australian population toward the state of the continents original inhabitants. Perhaps more importantly it enabled future actions and world views that may help better the conditions of Aboriginal peoples and their living cultures.
